Paid vs organic: one comparison, honestly made

Creator campaigns increasingly run in two layers: organic publications first, then paid amplification of the content that earned it through Spark Ads on TikTok or Partnership Ads on Meta. The strategic question is always the same: what did the paid layer add? Our analytics answers it by keeping organic and paid results on the same publication record, so the comparison is direct instead of assembled from two disconnected tools.

Why this comparison usually goes wrong

In most setups, organic results live in an influencer tool and paid results live in ad managers, joined weeks later in a spreadsheet by whoever drew the short straw. Numbers get double-counted, attribution windows differ, and the resulting deck can argue anything. The comparison fails not because the question is hard but because the data was never structured to answer it.

Our structure removes the join problem. A publication selected for amplification carries its organic baseline, its authorization code status from the amplification workflow, and its paid results as they accrue. Organic and paid metrics stay separately labelled on one record, which is precisely what makes lift measurable and double-counting impossible.

What the analysis shows

The core view compares each amplified publication's paid performance against its own organic baseline and against comparable non-amplified publications from the same wave. Because records carry creator, format, platform and market, the analysis rolls up to the questions media planners actually ask: which content types respond best to amplification, in which markets, at which point of the flight.

The output is decision-shaped: which posts earned further spend, which formats should be briefed for boostability next wave, and where organic performance alone carried the objective. The ORLEN Paczka program, whose 170+ publications reached 6.2M impressions, used this organic-first, amplify-the-winners logic throughout.

  • Per-publication organic baseline vs paid results
  • Comparison against non-amplified posts from the same wave
  • Rollups by format, creator segment, platform and market
  • Spend recommendations grounded in observed response

Labelled sources, no manufactured ROAS

Paid metrics come from ad platforms and organic metrics come from APIs, verified links and creator-submitted statistics, and the analysis keeps those source classes visible. Where a platform limits visibility, the gap is disclosed rather than modelled over. Comment analysis on amplified posts is likewise scoped to what is collectable.

We also resist the temptation to print a return-on-ad-spend figure that the data cannot support. Amplification of creator content is usually an awareness and consideration instrument; where a client's tracking genuinely supports outcome attribution, we report it, and where it does not, we say so rather than inventing a multiplier.

Practically, the paid layer is managed through the same registry that runs the campaign: each amplified publication carries its authorization code, activation status and view target, so the paid-versus-organic split in the report is drawn from operational records rather than reconstructed from screenshots after the fact.

Frequently asked questions

Do you decide which posts get amplified?

We recommend based on organic performance and brief fit; the selection is agreed with your team. The paid amplification workflow then handles authorization codes and activation waves.

Can you measure true incremental lift?

We measure paid results against organic baselines and comparable unamplified posts, and we are explicit that this is observational comparison, not a randomised experiment, unless the campaign is designed for one.

Whose ad accounts run the amplification?

Either ours as part of the paid amplification service, or yours with validated authorizations handed over. The analysis works the same way in both setups when we receive the paid data.

Will you report ROAS for our campaign?

Only if your tracking setup actually supports outcome attribution for this activity. Otherwise we report the paid and organic evidence honestly and skip the invented multiplier.
